This paper provides an overview of environmental conditions at Rocky Flats. It details the history of plutonium contamination at the site, shows why “cleanup” standards are inadequate and explains that key data pertinent to the cleanup were ignored by the government agencies responsible for the cleanup. Because of the ongoing dangers at the site the RF wildlife refuge should stay closed to the public and Nuclear Guardianship should be implemented there.
