Astonishing News: Anonymous $20,000 gift

In the final week of December I received an anonymous letter containing a check for $20,000 made out to the Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center earmarked for our Rocky Flats: Call to Nuclear Guardianship project.

The letter says, “My hope in making this donation is that others will recognize the integrity of the work that you and your colleagues are doing and will join me in supporting it.”

This is certainly good news. Our Nuclear Guardianship project is initiated at 7:30 PM, Thursday, January 13, when I’ll do a presentation called, “Rocky Flats: A Local Hazard Forever.” This will happen at Naropa University’s Nalanda campus, 6287 Arapahoe Ave at 63rd St. in Boulder.

For a full description of the project with a complete schedule and other info, visit our beautiful web site: http://www.rockyflatsnuclearguardianship.org

Please consider how you can support this important project. As I write on Jan. 6, we just received a $1200 donation for this work. It’s heartening to realize that people want to support our efforts to bring a more cautious approach to the Rocky Flats site.
